Most golfers are always looking for ways to improve distance accuracy. The more often you can drive the ball onto the fairway, the better your chances are of getting birdies or eagles.
The Set Up
Another of our golf driver swing tips is to flex your knees when you address the ball. Your feet should be shoulder width apart and you should be in line with your target. This will help increase your accuracy.
If you want to increase the distance and accuracy of your drives you will need to increase your club head speed. Your swing will need to become smooth and powerful.
You must play the ball forward in your stance when hitting a driver. The ball should be teed just to the inside of your leading foot(left foot for right hand golfers). this will get the ball into the properly.
The Swing
This golf driver swing tip involves the swing basics. Your hips are the key to a powerful swing. Your hips turn which allow your torso to coil. Start your downswing with your hips and then allow your torso to uncoil with your hands following the club head at impact. If done properly the club head should be square trough the hitting zone. Be sure to follow through fully on your swing. Trying to shorten or stop your follow through can throw your swing alignment off and effect your distance and accuracy.
If you are hitting a consistent hook or slice, you may want to try the larger club heads. Do not use a to strong or to weak grip as this will make it difficult to square the club head at impact. A neutral grip will give you the best results.
If you have not already done so, you may want to try the larger club heads. Although these club heads are larger and heavier, there still needs to be a lot of practice time to get used to the size, but the size makes them a little more forgiving. I hope you enjoyed these golf driver swing tips. Keep practicing and see you on the course!
